DASH has a board of 8 trustees, 3 part-time staff and is fortunate to employ the services of around 45 regular volunteers, 10 of whom are also clients.

DASH was formed in 2011, in response to growing concern over the plight of destitute asylum seekers in and around Huddersfield. In 2019, DASH re-formed as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation.

We also entered into a new partnership with Paddock Community Trust.

"We're now at the heart of a thriving community centre, in a partnership that brings us together with Talk English, Works Better, Step by Step and Welcome Mentors. We're excited to be working under one roof, strengthening links, for the benefit of asylum seekers and refugees in Kirklees."

Jane Fowden, DASH TRUSTEE.
