"I could not find this place by myself. Thank you for bringing me here."
EMOTIONAL
SUPPORT
We accompany vulnerable clients to important appointments and act as a point of contact in crises (including Home Office detention).
ESOL
We provide weekly English lessons, as well as supporting clients to access the Talk English classes, run by Paddock Community Trust.
TRAINING
Where possible, we secure training for clients, particularly those who volunteer for us. These include Food Safety, First Aid and Community Interpreting. For more information on volunteer training, please go to the Volunteer section on the Support Us page.
CULTURE & LEISURE
We organise trips to football matches, theatres, museums, galleries, sailing clubs, summer camps and a youth hostel.
CAMPAIGN
We are members of the Lift The Ban coalition . We attend national conferences concerned with fighting the injustices faced by asylum seekers and refugees in this country. If you would like DASH to talk to your community or organisation or to help us raise awareness, see Campaigning & Awareness.
"I am two years in this country and have never been as happy as the last two days. If the children are happy, I am happy!" (Family weekend residential trip)
About us
We are OISC accredited to offer Asylum and Protection Advice at Level 2. We do not offer legal advice. We help clients find solicitors.
