Volunteer Development Programme

#COVID19 – Please note that, in the near future at least, volunteer training will focus mainly on our Asylum Guides project. The Volunteer Development Programme will be re-structured accordingly but training for Safeguarding and Community Interpreting will still be available.

In 2020 DASH received funding from Comic Relief to work in partnership with Refugee Action to extend our delivery of the Asylum Guides project. Asylum Guides are trained volunteers, equipped to help asylum seekers better  navigate the complex asylum process and get a better understanding of their rights and entitlements within it. If you’re interested in finding out more, please contact abdul.h@huddsdash.org

In 2019 DASH received funding to develop a volunteer training programme. This has been designed, in consultation with volunteers, to offer a comprehensive package of learning opportunities in order to ensure that a skilled volunteer workforce can offer the most effective service to clients.
